Can I donate used shoes?

At this time Heel and Soul is only accepting new shoes for distribution.

Who will receive the shoes?

School age children throughout both the Greater Yakima and Tri Cities regions. We are working with The Salvation Army and other organizations to help ensure we get shoes to children in need.

What is the deadline to donate shoes or money?

All donations must be received by July 31st, 2024 for this year’s event.

Can I donate adult shoes?

At this time we are focusing on school-age children, ages 5 to 18.

How can I make a monetary donation?

There is a donation page on this website with links to the community foundation in each participating market for you to make your donation. A donation made by credit card via the links are preferred over cash at drop off locations. You donation may be tax-deductible as well.

What is the minimum donation amount?

At this time, there is no minimum or maximum amount to give to this campaign. Every dollar raised will go towards the purchase of new shoes in the community it was raised in.

Is Heel and Soul a non-profit organization?

Heel and Soul is not currently a non-profit organization. It was developed by community minded individuals in the Yakima area and shared with other organizations in Tri Cities and Spokane Washington and Binghamton New York. Media outlets are working with community foundations in most markets as well as The Salvation Army to ensure your donation, of shoes or monetarily, reaches the intended recipient.
